Tom Ford Spring 2012 collection.jpg

While we wait to see if there is any truth to those Tom Ford for H&M rumours, we can finally feast our eyes on the designer's Spring 2012 collection. Under a shield of secrecy the collection has now been revealed two months after it debuted at London Fashion Week.

Photos from the collection, which were taken by Ford himself, have been published by US Vogue. As expected it is choc-o-block with super high-end, luxurious pieces including leather jackets, python skirts, furry collars, sheer beading, ruffled hems and fringing. Interspersed with some stunning black-and-white pieces are flashes of bold colour including purple and red. There are also some stunning tuxedo suits reminiscent of YSL's smoking suits.

"My focus is really old-fashioned," he told Vogue. "I want to do classic clothes. I don't want to do trendy collections that swing around from season to season. I want to do things that will stay in a woman's wardrobe a long time - quite 'forever' pieces. So I'm looking for consistency."
