At Debenhams' Spring / Summer press day we were treated to previews of collections from Designers at Debenhams and in-house trend label Red Herring. All the expected trends were there, from ice-cream pastels to 50s dresses, with splashes of colourblocking, bold florals and Versace-inspired chain prints. Especially strong were the Batik print pieces from Rocha.John Rocha, and Julien Macdonald's 'Star' collection which has kissed goodbye to its bedazzled t-shirts and bodycon leopard print in favour of something a bit more chic and grown-up. There were also the pretty, youthful prints we've grown to expect from H! by Henry Holland, and grown-up boho in soft colours from Butterfly by Matthew Williamson.

Also at the show were new collections from the brilliant and slightly more directional Edition range, in collaboration with Preen, Jonathan Saunders, Jonathan Kelsey and Roksanda Ilincic. Look out for some lovely chino trousers and tailored jackets, some beautiful floral pencil skirts and shell tops, and an affordable, slightly longer version of Preen's famous 'power' dress in lime green.

Most items hit Debenhams stores in early 2012. Where possible we've tried to include prices in the captions so you can start saving!
