Joseph Altuzarra takes home CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award
Joseph Altuzarra has been nominated for a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award every year since he debuted his namesake line in 2009. This was his year. Altuzarra is taking home $300,000 to grow his business and will receive mentorship from some of the industry's leaders. This is his second nomination for the big award, and he was also nominated for the Swarovzki Award for Womenswear in 2010 and 2011.
Jewellery designer Pamela Love and the designers behind Creatures of the Wind were named runners up, each receiving $100,000.
CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg, Anna Wintour, keynote speaker Calvin Klein, presenter Rooney Mara, past winners Billy Reid and Alexander Wang all gathered at Skylight Studios for the ceremony.
