Is it possible to wear Gucci better than the woman who designed it? It's a tough call, with the glamourous Frida Giannini making an excellent advert for her own S/S 2012 art deco inspired flapper girl creations. But at a recent gala in LA (sponsored by Gucci, natch) Evan Rachel Wood gave it her best go, in the sleeveless version of the stunning beaded gown that Giannini wore to a Gucci party in September.

Both ladies teamed their dresses with matching gold chain shoes - peep toes for Frida and sandals for Evan - but the hair was where things differed. Do you prefer Frida's easy chic updo, or Evan's 20s style marcel waves?

Who do you think wore it best?
