Alexa Chung wins British Style Award two years in a row!
Not even a late addition of Kate Middleton to the nominee list could topple Alexa Chung from her perch as Britain's most stylish for two years in a row. The TV presenter won the British Style Award, brought to you by Vodafone, for the second consecutive year at last night's British Fashion Awards 2011. The award is the only one voted for by members of the public and Alexa is the first person to snag two gongs on a row. Nice work!
For the occasion, Alexa chose a stunning cream mod-style minidress adorned with crystals from Christopher Kane's Spring/Summer 2012 collection. She matched her look with a nude-coloured clutch, simple black bow heels and her trademark just-got-out-of-bed messy long bob with fringe. Here she is posing with the designer himself.
"This is for girls who dress like awkward boys," she said in her acceptance speech, which you can see below.
Speaking of her win, Alexa later said, "It's just nice that I'm still relevant in 2011, isn't it? I thought 2010 was a big one but now it's got better. I think this is the only one that the public voted for so it's such an honour, it's crazy, it's so nice."
