Alber Elbaz's Lanvin Christmas tree lights up Claridge's
Christmas is in the air, can you feel it? With just weeks to go until Santa Claus pays us his annual visit, Claridge's is getting into the festive spirit with their famous Christmas tree. But this isn't any old tree, no Siree! This year, Lanvin's Alber Elbaz has turned his fashionable skills to decorating the tree, taking over from John Galliano from last year.
Standing four-feet-high, the tree is adorned with hundreds of shiny baubles and is surrounded by characters made from fabric. There is even a miniature version of Elbaz sitting on top of the Christmas tree. Cute!
"The concept of the Christmas Tree decoration is to create an installation that carries the spirit of Lanvin, an infusion of tradition and modernity at the same time," Elbaz said. "The tree is to emanate and bring heartwarming joy to all who work and stay as guests at Claridge's hotel: It's my way to wish them a very Merry Christmas."
