The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo costumer creates fashion range for H&M
I have more H&M news for you today! Trish Summerville, the costume designer for the film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (of Stieg Larsson's famed novel trilogy), has teamed up with the retailer to create a womenswear collection. The 30-piece range is based on the film's heroine Lisbeth Salander that offer a "dark and urban feel". Using a colour palette of black, grey and dark red, Summerville has designed a collection of leather jackets, torn jeans and slouchy hoodies.
"I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I'm pleased with the result! My goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style," says Summerville.
The collection will launch exclusively at Colette in Paris on November 28, and via 180 H&M stores worldwide from December 14.
