Local designers head to LA for London Show Rooms
The crème de la crème of London's emerging fashion designers have arrived in Los Angeles as part of a British Fashion Council initiative. Known as London Show Rooms (following on from the Paris and New York Show Rooms), the initiative allows local designers to build and grow their profiles and businesses amongst the US market.
The opportunity allows West Coast buyers, stylists and press to meet designers and view the collections in a unique environment. The showroom features a selection of creations from London-based designers including Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, Marios Schwab, Mary Katrantzou, Nicholas Kirkwood, Peter Pilotto, Richard Nicoll, Roksanda Ilincic, Todd Lynn and E Tautz.
"Taking London Show Rooms to LA will help further develop the profile of these designers through media coverage and introductions to media, stylists and retailers. LA is a significant market for our designers and we are delighted to be taking this initiative over to the west coast," said the BFC's Caroline Rush.
