Karl Lagerfeld launches new line for Net-a-Porter
Fashion fans who can't get enough Karl Lagerfeld are in luck. In addition to his one-off Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse collection for US department store Macy's which debuted recently, he is planning another "affordable" line.
Newly minted president of Karl Lagerfeld BV, Pier Paolo Righi, pictured with the designer, revealed the news in an interview at the new Lagerfeld headquarters in Paris.
Karl Collection will hit Net-a-Porter January 25 and is rumored to have a rock 'n' roll vibe at price points between $95 and $450. Signature Karl items such as denim, leather, silver jeans, vests, LBDs, and fingerless leather gloves are expected. There will be a launch event during Paris Couture Week.
"It's my today's taste and style and a reflection of how I think a great number of people would like to be dressed now," is how the designer described the collection.
You can also look for Karl Lagerfeld Paris, a "signature collection" to launch at the same time, and a menswear collection for Fall 2012.
