New York Fashion Week Spring 2012: Chris Benz
I guess you could call me smitten. I just get giddy over everything Chris Benz does, and giggle in his pink-haired presence at his presentation in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.
"Everybody was going crazy this summer with the heat wave ... We were all in the studio, and I just decided to go with it. It's Andy Warhol's superstars go to Coney Island, with a nod to candy kids," he told Style.com.
The shapes and silhouettes took a supporting role to the colors and prints. He managed to keep the neon and colorblocking trends looking fresh and ... not too trendy. Balanced with black and white on textured cotton matelassé, the collection was super stylish and aspirational while still being wearable. The styling, hair and makeup all came together really well for a cool look.
