Eclectic is one very simple way to describe Marc Jacob's very non-simple Spring/Summer 2012 collection. An array of colours, textures and fabrics emerged on the final night of New York Fashion Week ending a wild week of crazy prints, bold tones and shapes. For Jacobs it was a fantastic cherry on top of a very delicious sundae which he layered up with plenty of different flavours.

His sci-fi-meets-The-Great-Gatsby collection was a mixture of knee-length skirts created from various materials, boxy jackets, slouchy gathered skirts and blouses and plaid pieces. Thrown in also were shiny skirts, dresses and hems made from glass-like fringing. Party dresses were barely there in chiffon, gauze material with no particular reference to any one era. Despite all that was going on, amazingly it all managed to work which is why we love Marc Jacobs just the way that he is!
