New York Fashion Week Spring 2012: Monique Lhuillier
Nope, bold colours aren't going anywhere. You better still love primary colours because that is what Monique Lhuillier is bringing to the table for Spring 2012. The designer served up a decent dose of clean lines, strong shapes and bold colours. The sporty collection featured body con dresses, off-the-shoulder frocks, and lace panelled coats. Lace was also continued throughout evening wear, which she has become famous for.
Long chiffon gowns were strapped under the bustline, cut-out at the back and covered up in black lace. The big ball gowns were splatted in electric blue paint. The palette was filled with bright red, fuchsia, purple and more chartreuse yellow, which we saw a lot of in Jason Wu's collection.
