New York Fashion Week S/S 2012 Erin Fetherston
Erin Fetherston's collection just get better and better and her latest show has taken on a delicious sixties vibe. Based in the trendy Milk Studios Venue, her models posed around white blocks, adorned with dramatic eyes and plump looking lips. Nails were kept nude and charming with a specially created shade from Butter London and the aesthetic was very fresh and friendly with bright hues accentuated by butterfly prints.
Erin Fetherston's Spring/Summer collection channeled a playful element, with a distinct sixties twist, from colour blocked shift dresses to floaty chiffon maxi dresses and chic tailored shorts.
Mood board for the show
There was something very timeless about this collection as it felt suitable for all ages, as the youthful colour was teamed with classic shapes and the bright prints just floaty enough to feel adult.
Erin shared that her inspiration was an image of Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow, and that the butterfly mask Mia Farrow wore. 'It's sophistication from another era', the makeup artists elaborated. 'Think smoky black eye, with false lashes and added mascara for a spiky look'.
