BCBG-Max-Azria-SS2012.jpg

It looks like colour blocking isn't about to go anywhere any time soon. That's if you were to consult Max and Lubov Azria who's Spring 2012 collection helped to kick off Thursday morning at New York Fashion Week.

Fresh, breezy and oh-so feminine the BCBG show featured fluid fabrics, cut-out dresses with loads of technical involvement. By this I mean spliced fabrics, angled panels and asymmetrical cuts. There was also plenty of contrasting colours, plunging V-style back and necklines, drop-waists with a touch of Missoni-inspired zig zag patterns.
