Alberta Ferretti's Spring/Summer 2012 collection was all about the calf and the ankle. Dresses skimmed both of these parts of the body courtesy of handkerchief and layered chiffon hems. In a wide range of vibrant hues, Ferretti's fuss-free silhouettes were inspired by Africa's jungle landscape.

The collection showcased bold safari prints, crochet knits, sequin panels and fringed bags. It was a fun mish-mash of simple designs, delicate fabrics and barely-there sheer dresses. I particularly love the detail in the final parade of evening dresses, which comprised of intricate beading, cut-out geometric shapes and dazzling sparkles. Check out a video of the show above.
