London Fashion Week SS12 - Mary Katrantzou
Hotly anticipated by fashion's elite and bloggers alike, Mary Katrantzou's spring summer 2012 show had a lot to live up to what with past season's collections being hailed by some as the best London Fashion Week had to offer.
From the first model to set foot on the runway we knew it would all be there; digital prints, experimentation with shape, kaleidoscopic colours. This season's collection was probably the most wearable to date with shapes that flattered the female form and chiffons that flowed behind models as they walked.
Embellishment featured on some, but not all the dresses, as did an iridescent sheen on top of print.
Overall, the collection was beautiful, and perhaps if I hadn't been spoilt by previous shows I'd have been raving about it from the rooftops, but alas I felt there was just a little final Mary spark missing.
