One of the biggest shows of the season and we were front row - to say the least we were excited. A personal favourite designer of mine, Christopher Kane is known for his directional and cutting edge designs that really push the boundaries of fashion each season and gasps and whispers can always be heard and seen on the front row.

This time was different. Kane's collection, sponsored by Evian, had a prettier edge to any I'd seen before; past years have seen shock effect garish neons and futuristic textures take to the runway but this season in their place stood soft pastels and fuzzy florals. Where Kane did experiment was shape; origami techniques were everywhere which made for wow effect silhouettes and impressive detail. Beautiful embellishment made an appearance at the end of the collection in glistening dresses and sheers. Hair matched the pretty aesthetic with messy chignons whilst flat frumpy sandals gave the opposite feel, which we weren't too sure about!

With fashion icon Anna Wintour (as well as Kanye West??) sat front row we'd be interested to see what she thought of Kane's unexpected offering. We're pleasantly surprised as it's confirmed one thing for sure; Spring / Summer 2012 is set to be a pretty one!

A big thank you to Evian for inviting us and squeezing us onto the front row!
