London Fashion Week SS12 - Ashish
It was florals, but not as you know it at the Ashish Spring Summer 2012 show. The Indian designer has always been a firm favourite of mine and I've come to expect the unexpected from his collections. This season's offering was no exception.
The scene was set for 'Le Jardin d'Ashish' as the crowd were promised 'sequinned sunflowers that Van Gogh would give a second ear to paint' and 'more colours than an herbaceous border'. Poppies, pansies and peonies adorned nautical stripes, black and white checks and red brick prints that represented a walled garden, all in sequins of course.
Colour was bright and in abundance, florals were oversized and in your face, models walked the runway with attitude and I loved every second of it.
To see a couple more pictures from the show read on after the jump.
