London Fashion Week SS12: Issa London
I don't go to too many shows during London Fashion Week, The Catwalk Queen team have it covered and I have other responsibilities at CQ HQ but when Vodafone, sponsors of London Fashion Weekend, kindly sent me a me a ticket I wasn't going to give it up!
With part owner Al Fayed and Tinchy Stryder in the room expectations for Daniella Helayel's label were high but did not disappoint. The feminine designs were bursting with tropical hues, print motifs and blocks of colour in candy pink, canary yellow, tangerine and turquoise. Shapes were flattering and fun with clean lines and nipped in waists.
A collection of Riviera style white cotton embroidered broderie anglais summer dresses were simple yet beautifully crafted. Evening wear was graceful yet fun, full of fringes and sparkle and with the girl from Ipanema playing in the background it was easy to identify Daniella's inspiration from her Rio roots.
The final model shimmered down the runway in sequins, feathers and a dramatic samba headdress capturing the energy and essence of Brazil. With Kate Middleton's continued support of these sensation styles SS12 is set to be a incredible season for Issa.
