Did the Queen inspire designers at Fashion Week?
Agyness Deyn once said she was her ultimate style icon, and now Her Royal Highness Elizabeth II has been given the fashion seal of approval by Vogue Japan's Anna Dello Russo, too.
In an interview with Grazia (in which she dressed up as the monarch) Anna said that the Queen's yellow ensemble for William and Kate's wedding (above) was clear inspiration for the catwalks.
This does sound plausible. Yellow has been absolutely everywhere at fashion week, especially in London where Mulberry, Osman, Danielle Scutt, Issa, Julien Macdonald, Mark Fast, Holly Fulton and many more picked a colour palette containing the shade.
Of course, lace is also big news for Spring / Summer 2012 - no doubt Kate's frock had a little something to do with that.
