The Roitfelds band together for Barneys A/W '11 campaign
The family that erm... models together, erm... stays together? I wonder if this was the thinking by Carine Roitfeld's decision to enlist her daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld (wearing Givenchy) and son Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld in the latest Barneys New York campaign. In addition to her family, the former Vogue editrix has assembled her family along with French Vogue stylist Marie Amelie Sauve (in Balenciaga), Dior jeweller Victoire de Castellane (Azzedine Alaïa), Dasha Zhukova (Proenza Schouler), and Naomi Campbell (Fendi).
The campaign is for Barneys Autumn/Winter 2011 catalogue which has been named "Carine's World." Carine herself looks amazing in an all-black Rick Owens ensemble. The ads will appear in the department store's fall windows, in-store and on its website. Speaking of the campaign, Barneys creative director Dennis Freedman said: "Our goal with the campaign was to create a personal experience with someone who has extraordinary style like Carine." Job done I'd say.
