Schiaparelli_headscarf.jpgRumor has it the next Costume Institute exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York will celebrate two influential women in fashion - Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada. Sources told WWD that the Institute's Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton will be curating important looks by the two iconic women of fashion, but further details could not be learned.

Such an exhibit probably wouldn't pull the same record-breaking audience as this year's "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" exhibit. But the beautiful Schiaparelli exhibit at The Philadelphia Museum of Art in 2003 was very successful with over 80,000 vistors, which bodes well. Pairing with Ms. Prada will obviously generate a lot more interest, as well.
