Laura Bailey named Cultural Ambassador for the British Fashion Council
You've gotta love it when the British Fashion Council creates a brand new role just for you. This is just the case for Laura Bailey, who has just been appointed Cultural Ambassador for the BFC.
The model is the first in a number of young/cultural ambassadors who will be announced prior to London Fashion Week in September. Within her newly-created position, Laura will attend key events such as the British Fashion Awards and London Show Rooms. She will also be involved in business support schemes, forthcoming activities and meeting with designers at their studios to support them as they develop their businesses.
Speaking of her appointment, she said: "I'm proud of my new ambassadorship with the BFC and I am thrilled to be to working with and promoting young British talent. I think it's a really exciting time for British fashion - via the shows, in the shops and on the streets. I'm also keen to work with the BFC on their collaboration with the film and art world. Roll on September for London Fashion Week!"
