Gemma Ward reportedly cast in The Great Gatsby
It looks like another movie is coming Gemma Ward's way. The Aussie model has reportedly been cast in the new film adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
It's her first big film role since 2008's The Black Balloon with the Herald Sun reporting that Ward has been given a "significant" part. Shooting of Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby begins in Sydney next week, it already stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan. The 24-year-old is expected to join the A-list cast this week.
Ward's last film role was a small part in Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in which she played Tamara, Queen of the Mermaids.
"I have taken a break from the media spotlight for the past few years and it was something spurred by Heath [Ledger's] death," Ward said earlier this year.
