Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry to continue
Amy Winehouse's collaboration with Fred Perry will continue posthumously after the label decided to release her unfinished collections.
Following the singer's untimely death last month, questions were raised over whether Fred Perry would agree to go ahead with what Winehouse had started. After consulting with her family, the brand now intends to honour her legacy by launching the pieces.
"Amy's royalties and fees from both collections will be donated to the soon-to-be-established Amy Winehouse Foundation. Fred Perry will also make a seasonal donation to the Foundation," the label said in a statement.
"When Fred Perry came to us to ask what we would like to do with the new collection it was natural to continue," added Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father. "Amy loved working on both collections, and would want them to be made available. All the money we make and the donation that Fred Perry will give will go straight into to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which we are setting up to help children and young people in her name."
