New details are emerging about the Karl Lagerfeld and Macy's collaboration we reported on last fall. Instead of just selling in urban flagships as some expected, the line will go out to more than 200 of Macy's 800 stores and will sell (out?) on Macys.com.

WWD reports there will be some high-collared pieces and edgier rock and roll looks, all at Macy's price points. The one-off collection will hit stores at the end of August, but will not be the last we'll see of Lagerfeld at Macy's. The designer will be one of four special guest designers to create holiday products for the store.

Last year Lagerfeld said of the collaboration: "I wanted this for a long time ... I prefer to work in another way. I can't compete with Chanel. I don't want to be the poor child of myself. This has been my vision for years."
