Anna Wintour wears fresh-off-the-runway Chanel Couture to receive French honor
It's been a busy week in Paris for Anna Wintour. In addition to the couture shows, she attended the Harry Potter premiere with her niece and last but not least received France's top honor. Wintour received the French Legion of Honor medal from French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the Elysee Palace yesterday. She wore a Chanel Haute Couture skirt suit that debuted on the runway the night before.
Wintour was awarded a Chevalier (Knight) of the Order, which was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802 and signifies the highest order of decoration in France. She adds this to her Order of the British Empire received in 2008.
