First look: Angelina Jolie's 'Core Values' campaign for Louis Vuitton
She is the latest famous face to represent Louis Vuitton's 'Core Values' campaign. So where better for Angelina Jolie to shoot the popular ad than in Cambodia, the birthplace of her adopted son, Maddox. Looking magnificent in her own clothes, barefoot and looking wistfully into the distance with an LV monogrammed tote beside her, Angelina was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the campaign.
"People are not used to seeing Angelina in this situation," said Pietro Beccari, Vuitton's executive vice president. "I like the fact that it's a real moment. This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand."
While Beccari would not disclose the amount paid to Jolie for the stint, he did confirm that a portion of her fees were donated to charity.
"This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey," Beccari added. In addition Louis Vuitton are also considering re-editing their Alto carryall which Jolie has been photographed with plenty of times by the paparazzi.
The ads are due to run for 18 months, with a teaser set to be unveiled this Wednesday via louisvuittonjourneys.com/cambodia. An interview with Jolie will also be posted online in which she talks about her first visit to Cambodia and the affect it has had on her life. She also discusses the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which was founded to assist in the local community development and conservation of the country.
