Jonathan Saunders named Scottish Designer of the Year for second time!
It was another gong for Jonathan Saunders overnight at the 2011 Scottish Fashion Awards. He was named Designer of the Year for the second time in two years, but it seems he wasn't expecting it.
"I've just been texting Chris Kane saying 'Sam Cam's wearing your dress, you're definitely going to win it!' so this is a huge surprise," he told Vogue as he accepted the award.
Samantha Cameron, dressed in a neon green Christopher Kane dress, attended the event as official ambassador for the British Fashion Council. Other winners on the night included Henry Holland, who was presented with the gong for International Brand of the Year, for his use of Scottish fabric, Freya Mavor for Fashion Icon of the Year, and Tali Lennox (daughter of Annie Lennox) who won the prize for Model of the Year.
