John Galliano fires lawyer; hires new one
The British designer recently dismissed Stéphane Zerbib as his lawyer following "the discovery of apparent irregularities" with his firm's administration of Galliano's financial affairs over a number of years. Galliano has since hired Aurélien Hamelle at Metzner Associés in Paris to represent him, according to his publicist.
The High Court in Paris will soon set a date for Galliano's trial in which he faces allegations over using anti-Semitic and racial slurs at a Paris bar in February. He recently completed a "intensive" one-month treatment at a rehabilitation center in Arizona.
