Giles Deacon has unveiled his début shoe and accessory collection for Nine West. The British designer has teamed up with the US retailer to launch a five-piece capsule collection featuring bags and shoes that bare the Giles Eek motif. The range comprises of a pair of ballerina flats, ankle boots and chunky peep-toe wedges.

"I was catering to the Nine West customer, so these pieces are for wearing from breakfast until bedtime," he told Vogue. The collection is still inherently Giles - there's still that London edge. It's not about the super-expensive though, not everyone can or wants to spend £900 on a pair of shoes. There's all day appeal about these pieces. I hope it'll give us more of a presence in the States - we'll be able to reach new audiences."

And that is his plan after all - to first conquer the US then worldwide domination.

"Of course we want to crack the States, but we're also making a concerted push to get into Asia," he added. "We have 11 stockists there already. I think it's a really interesting expanding market. We're still a relatively small, and certainly independent, label. We're keen to fly the British flag - London's doing such great work at the moment. London still has that anything-can-happen feel to it."

The Giles for Nine West capsule collection is due to hit stores this September. Check out the full collection via Vogue here.
