After participating in the Virgin London marathon with Henry Holland to support Oxfam, Agyness Deyn continued her charity work by visiting Tanzania. In one of the poorest areas, Shinyanga, Aggy spent time with school children and learning more about Oxfam's mission there. This includes funding machinery to harvest crops which then go to pay for education.

In the June issue of Vogue, Aggy shared her experiences: "On our last morning, we went on a long run around the lake; when you go for a run out there, your senses are going crazy! At one point we ran past a bus station and some of the men waiting for the bus starting running with us, and when we passed through a village, the kids started running with us. All of the young people I spoke to told me how much they love going back to school. I came back to London with a thirst for learning."
