Sienna and Savannah Miller launch Twenty8Twelve pop-up shop
Yes it was those fashionable sisters, Sienna and Savannah Miller.
The girls greeted fans and signed autographs as they celebrated their fairground-themed space on the third floor of the department store. Decked out in colourful lights, customers could also pose with their face on top of a model's body thanks to cardboard cut-outs.
Speaking of what inspired her for the shop, Savannah said: "I saw Giffords Circus [a modish British circus troupe] in the summer and I just loved it. It's hard to make a pop-up shop unique and it's always nice to do something a bit kooky."
As for why they opted to forgo a runway show at London Fashion Week this past season, Sienna explained: "We love doing shows, but because we're not breaking the mould in what we do design-wise it's not particularly translating to sales. And the more important thing for us is sales at the moment, especially in this economy."
She also revealed they would like to create more couture dresses, "maybe five a year." In addition to a third store in Covent Garden, she admitted they'd "love to open a store in New York. But frankly, we're really comfortable with where the label's got to now."
