Pringle names Alistair Carr as new design director
Pringle of Scotland have welcomed Alistair Carr to the ranks as their new design director. Taking over from Clare Waight Keller, who recently announced her resignation, Carr steps into the role after four years at Balenciaga, under the direction of Nicolas Ghesquière.
With an MA in womenswear from Central Saint Martins, Carr brings a wealth of experience with him following stints at Marni, Cacharel, and Chloé. He has also shown his own signature label at London Fashion Week for three seasons.
"We are thrilled to have Alistair on board," said JeanFang, Jean Fang, Pringle's chief executive. "His passion for both cutting-edge and contemporary luxury design is the perfect alliance for Pringle of Scotland, and we look forward to continuing our success as an international luxury brand with an emphasis in knitwear."
