Rochas

Last season Marco Zanini split opinions with his S/S collection for Rochas. Some gushed about the pyjama-like pieces and the fact that the designer went back to his Swedish roots, while others were not quite convinced. But yesterday, the crowd generally positive about the fall show. The collection was conservative considering what we saw for fall.

The colour palette was largely muted with navy featuring predominantly on suits in navy and simple shift dresses in navy. Zanini tried to break it up towards the middle of the collection by showing a selection of printed knitwear and tailored jackets and one look featured a leopard print coat styled with brown cropped tailored trousers and brown sandals. The use of interesting headwear added a quirky edge to the otherwise simple pieces so was definitely a strength but unfortunately the collection wasn't quite there for me again.
