As well as recently launching a new bridal line, Matthew Williamson has been busy stateside creating a capsule collection for Macy's. The uber-busy designer has been recruited by the American retailer to help attract a younger customer who is interested in bright, fun party dresses and accessories.

He joins Kinder Aggugini, Karl Lagerfeld and a yet-to-be-named fourth designer in Macy's new collaboration project.

The 30-piece range offers US shoppers a taste of Williamson's penchant for feminine, flirty frocks. It comprises of embellished dresses, printed scarves, blouses, leather jackets and versatile romper suits for day-to-night.

"The collection aims to capture the essence of the mainline brand, with a focus on effortless glamour; dynamic prints; loosely structured silhouettes, and pops of strong color," he said.

Prices range from $50 to $300, with the line launching on April 13.
