Another night, another party!

Last Wednesday, it was the turn of new fashion label Vanessa Gto play host.

I have to admit after some un-fruitful Googling I was none the wiser about the new brand and expectations weren't high for the show ahead. But after a huge red Perspex invite encased in a very lavish box arrived on my desk, my interest piqued a little.

Upon arrival at the grand Banqueting Hall in London's Whitehall, we were greeted with a customary glass of champagne and some top notch canapés served from vintage birdcages (sounds weird, but was actually pretty cool).

The show was opened by Vogue cover model Jourdan Dunn, who walked the raised catwalk in a beautiful floral graphic print dress teamed with heavily embellished tights. This theme continued with a series of printed dresses, macs, and separates. The collection had a sophisticated, high end, Garden of Eden feel about it, exaggerated by the floral printed swing doors which were cleverly incorporated into the choreography. South African native Vanessa G's point of inspiration is clearly a fusion of art and fashion, which made for a unique, wearable and distinctive range.

After the show we whittled away one too many cocktails amongst the well dressed celebrity scattered crowd. Guests included Jade Jagger, Connie Huq, Emilia Fox and Poppy Delevigne, whilst Sophie-Ellis Bexter and her hubbie span some tunes from the DJ booth.

There's certainly something to be said for throwing the most extravagant fashion party of the week and after this, we're confident that Vanessa G will be on the lips of many a fashion editor and celebrity alike!
