New York Fashion Week: Hervé Léger Fall 2011
It's no secret that Max Azria's dresses at Hervé Léger are sexy but this season the designer moved away from his usual overtly sexy formula. Models looked strong and were given a tough edge by the designer adorning all of the dresses with metalwear. This season Azria wanted to create powerful clothes that "bonds" the brands "signature couture techniques to leather and metal hardware, crafting an inimitable suit of armour," the show notes said.
Bucking the trend for colour this season, Azria showed a largely muted colour palette of nudes and beiges but also introduced a handful of black pieces too and also broke up the dress-heavy collection by introducing some cropped tailored trousers in beige.
