New York Fashion Week: Jenny Packham Fall 2011
Inspired by all things bright and glamourous, Packham sent models down the runway in red-carpet worthy floor-length tulle and sheer chiffon gowns covered in sequins and embroidery. While some had a vintage feel coming with long sleeves and sharp neckline with a dramatic cut out back, others came in modern halterneck styles.
Although the colour palette was mainly golds, silvers and metallic, Packham did introduce some romantic nudes and peaches, particularly on a asymmetric floaty mini dress. With this collection Packham moved away from focusing on creating romantic feminine pieces and instead introduced an edgier, experimental side.
