Just Cavalli Fall 2011

I was pleasantly surprised by the Just Cavalli show today. The collection was less Victoria Beckham circa 2006 and more chic femininity. Beautiful gold tops had floaty sleeves and came tucked into green midi length skirts. Red and brown two-tone dresses with purple detail around the neckline and sleeves were reminiscent of something you would see at Miu Miu.

One stomach-baring look featured a ultra cropped structured top with a matching midi length pleated skirt that couldn't be further away from vulgar. Dresses came in ladylike multi-tiered styles teamed with flats in bright pink and floral print sheer maxi dresses in nude were styled under thick shearling jackets. Clashing prints appeared on trousers, shirts and skinny trousers.

I can see a lot of Young Hollywood in this collection and the show was definitely a nice way to end Milan Fashion Week.
