London Fashion Week Autumn 2011: CQ at The Mulberry after party
We arrived at the Mulberry Autumn Collection 2011 after show party a fashionably 30 minutes late. The queue was already snaking around the outside of Claridge's Hotel. After being treated to some honey roasted almonds to add warmth to our wait, we were finally let into the exclusive fashion brand's London Fashion Week celebrations.
The same English countryside feel from Mulberry's earlier show was reflected in the Claridge's Hotel Ballroom; a fantasy wonderland with hedgerows, toadstools, autumn foliage and wooden benches. After helping ourselves to some bramble cocktails and dandelion and burdock bellini's, alongside the likes of Gemma Arteton, Kirsten Dunst and stylist Grace Woodward, we tried our hand at skittles and sported fox and badger masks in the pop up photo booth.
Amongst the many Mulberry bags loyally carried by guests we spotted Arteton carrying the coveted Tillie in Midnight Croc Suede - gorgeous. We also managed to catch up with Dunst wearing a black metallic pleated Mulberry A/W11 dress. The Hollywood actress confided that alongside Mulberry a few other British designers she loves is
Vivienne Westwood. "She just doesn't care what people think (yes, we think the ELLE Style Awards proved that) - I love that. I have an amazing pair of shoes by her. She's awesome". Seasoned party goers Janice Dickinson and Jo Wood stumbled out at a shameful 11pm, but we continued to revel in Mulberry-themed frolics until 1am when the party ended.
