London Fashion Week: House of Holland Autumn 2011
I always look forward to the House of Holland show, which is usually colourful and fun with a dash of Henry Holland's cheeky sense of humour thrown in for good measure. And this season is no different. Printing his show and after-party invites on bingo cards and pens, it was clear where this collection was headed from the start - to the local bingo hall.
Every look was an explosion for the eyes thanks to clashing prints, patterned tights, candy tweed suits, and pleated skirts. A pair of wide legged mustard trousers was teamed with a burnt orange knit jumper embellished in faux pearls and a black crystal collar. Then came the zany crocheted blankets, presented in everything from skirts to dresses, tops and scarves. Returning to his signature motif t-shirts, the best had to be the hand sign for sex sweater worn loosely over a lemon chiffon dress and striped socks. Kooky fun!
