London Fashion Week: Charles Anastase Autumn 2011
A little bit of sexiness and naughtiness was the aim of the game for Charles Anastase's A/W 2011 collection. Bringing a touch of medieval romanticism to his latest creations, Anastase spoke of continuing his "princess coat story" which was inspired by his "memories of being brought up in France with lots of castles in dark, rainy countryside." It was fitting then that the weather yesterday was a soggy London day. Sadly Catwalk Queen however was refused access to the show by Charles's PR due to a old fashionably strict 'no online press' rule. True story! Of course we still managed to check it out.
Long double-breasted coats came pouring down the runway sitting level over wide leg trousers. For everything you could ever need for a walk in the woods, Anastase presented high waist velvet trousers, tweed minidresses, silk babydoll dresses and jumpsuits and Peter Pan collars. A pony print red dress stood out as did the sky high wedge boots which seemed to resemble horse hooves. To check out his latest collection, click play on the video above.
