London Fashion Week A/W 11: Louise Gray
The fashion circus came to town this wet and windy Saturday morning at Louise Gray's Autumn Winter 2011 show at London Fashion Week. With a runway covered in multicoloured spots, before the show even started we knew we'd be in for a sweet treat.
Brights upon brights were the order of the day, of course in Louise Gray's trademark patchwork style. Prints, patterns and textures were overlapped in a haphazard fashion and voluminous shapes and unusual layered combinations took centre stage. A fun fair of balloons made up outrageous head ornaments and oversized gold whistles swung from the earlobes of models as they strutted down the runway. Makeup was fresh and provided a clean canvas for the tiny multicoloured spots scattered over cheeks and temples.
We always look forward to Louise Gray's show for a real out there fashion fix, and we definitely found it here. With 'the young, the streets and the bold' inspiring this collection you really feel like you're taking a peak into her imagination. Would we wear it? Er..well, what do you think?
