Lady Gaga lands her first Vogue cover - check it out!
It's the one we have been waiting for... Lady Gaga's debut cover for American Vogue. Sporting a short pink bob wig, she appears relatively bare-faced besides the dark plum lipstick, Gaga was photographed by Mario Testino. For the cover, the avant-garde musician wears a sumptuous beige draped kimono designed by Haider Ackermann. For her editorial shoot, she wears other pieces from the likes of Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton. For the accompanying interview, Gaga talks about being welcomed by the British fashion industry.
'The fashion community in general got me much earlier than everyone else,' she says. 'But actually, I felt truly embraced by this London cultural movement, that McQueen, Isabella [Blow], Daphne Guinness wing of the English crowd. I remember when I first started doing photo shoots, people would say, 'My God, you look so much like Isabella Blow, it scares me.' And McQueen used to say, 'Oh, my God, your boobs!... Even your boobs are like hers!'"
