Emma Watson appears to be embracing this idea of an ethical designer even further with the launch of a new collection in conjunction with Alberta Ferretti. As we reported back in November, the actress has collaborated with the designer on an environmentally friendly line of bohemian dresses, lace-embroidered denim and '70s blouses inspired by Jane Birkin. Here is your first look at the collection, named Pure Threads, which has been previewed in the March issue of US Vogue (click image above for a closer look).

"I'm happy to encourage anyone interested in making conscientious clothing from raw, sustainable materials, so much so that I'll work for free," Watson told the mag, wearing a white organic blouse from the line.

"The collection is completely organic, from the picking and spinning of our cottons to the washing, weaving and dyeing of our textiles, " Ferretti adds. "Fresh, serene, and intelligent, these looks are perfect for Emma. They're chic but scrupulous down to the very last stitch."

Pure Threads is due to launch just after Christmas this year.
