Will Kate Middleton land a Vogue or Harper's Bazaar cover?
Which high end glossy will win the Kate Middleton cover race? That's what the New York Post is asking after it got wind that Harper's Bazaar UK was leading the charge due to fashion features editor Sara Buys being the wife of Camilla Parker Bowles' son, Tom.
"I'm very fortunate to be editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar and, as a result, have lots of people who want to be on the cover," editor Glenda Bailey said. "We're very, very fortunate to have some of the great Kates appear on our cover -- Kate Winslet, Cate Blanchett. Who knows the future?"
Doesn't sound like a no to us. Meanwhile former Bazaar editor Mary Alice Stephenson added: "There will probably be a war with Vogue, but Glenda is the woman to get Kate."
In other Kate news, word on the street is that she has chosen a bridal gown designer. However it is unlikely that the identity of the designer will be revealed until the big day on 29th April.
While Bruce Oldfield's store was inundated last week when Middleton's mother, Carole, and younger sister, Pippa, were spotted inside his Knightsbridge store. The pair spent an hour there and were personally greeted by Oldfield himself, prompting many to assume that he is the man to design Kate's gown.
