kate middleton prince william engaged announcement.jpgIt is no surprise that with all the publicity and attention which has been thrust upon her label recently, Issa founder Daniella Helayel has decided to relaunch her label in the U.S. next year.

"I've got an amazing print archive and hundreds of dress shapes - most of which have never been used," she told WWD in regards to what we can expect for next year.

As for her association with Kate Middleton, all Helayel would say is that Kate found her through friends. She will also not launch a stand-alone bridal collection, despite being named one of the main contenders to design Kate's wedding gown. "I've done one-off [bridal] designs for friends. That's all."

Helayel added that she was "flattered and honoured" that Middleton's chose a blue Issa belted dress for her engagement announcement. It was shortly copied by Tesco and Peacocks, however she declined to confirm whether she would be pursuing legal action against these retailers.

In addition to a relaunch in America, the Issa website will also receive an e-commerce overhaul and Helayel will open the first of six stand-alone stores in Brazil, where she is originally from.
