The champagne was flowing last night for Phoebe Philo (pictured right with Bianca Jagger) who was named Designer of the Year at the 2010 British Fashion Awards. Held a the newly refurbished Savoy Hotel, the Celine creative director beat out stiff competition from Christopher Kane and Erdem Moralioglu to win the prestigious title.
Other winners on the night included Lara Stone, who was named Model of the Year, and Naomi Campbell who received a Special Recognition Award for her 25-year career. Alexa Chung was voted by the public to win the very first British Style Award. As previously reported, Lee Alexander McQueen was bestowed a special posthumous award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design. Guests at the ceremony included Victoria Beckham, Thandie Newton, Claudia Schiffer, and Yasmin Le Bon - stay tuned for our red carpet coverage.
