Harold Tillman appointed Commander of the British Empire
With changes amongst his ranks at the BFC, Harold Tillman cemented his position within the British fashion industry by being appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) yesterday.
The BFC director was bestowed the honour by the Princess Royal at Buckingham Palace, after being named in the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours for services to the fashion industry.
"It is a real honour to be recognised in this way. The UK is home to some of the world's leading fashion brands and I am proud to be associated with a number of them through the British Fashion Council and directly with Jaeger and Aquascutum. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to acquire these two wonderful British businesses with true heritage and be part of their revival," Tillman said.
